My name is Ray King, I have a Certificate in Lighting Design, am an Electrical contractor and are the founder of ECOsparks.com.au

ECOsparks was born from necessity. As an electrician running a contracting business in Melbourne my work with Home Owners and Insurance Assessors clearly demonstrated the issues with Halogen down lights.

The enormous problems with overheating, risk of fire, high running costs & quality of light, had to be addressed.
I needed to find a solution that I could honestly recommend to my customers

In 2009 I was contracted to the Federal Government to provide Home Sustainability Assessments, this task renewed my focus to find a replacement to energy hungry halogen downlight globes and still provide ample light.

The available replacements for halogen lights were hopeless. The Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL) were vastly inadequate, The LED globes that were available were expensive, and of poor quality with not enough light output

Both replacement light sources gave a feeble insipid light, not suited to most Australian homes. These light sources were not able to be dimmed, robbing houses of the homely feel.

I have searched the world & found the CREE & Edison LED modules give enough light output at the right color range to satisfy Australian conditions. And many of my products are Dimmable.

After ensuring that the globes met stringent Australian standards, I then set about a testing process, (see YouTube clip ) in my factory in Sandringham. 

This was to satisfy myself that the products I had chosen were good enough to use myself & to recommend to my Customers.
In going through this process I believe I have the best LED replacement globes for Halogen down lights in Australia.

Now we are ready to bring these outstanding globes to you. By Mid 2012 we should have our new showroom at 296 Bay Rd, Cheltenham, ready for you to see the difference.

You may buy cheaper LED globes, but you will not get the quality and light output, for the price we offer.
