The Superiour MR-16 lampholder with a mica reflector and 600mm long leads connects the low voltage transformer to the MR-16 downlight globe.

The super long leads allow you to place the transformer or driver out of the insulation and out of harms way.

If your downlight is flickering on and on or is switching off at intervals, the lamp holder could be overheating. This would mean the spring tension of the connection has deteriorated. Replacing the holder is the smart thing to do, before it burns out or catches fire.
